Maarifa New Media Ministry
Maarifa is AWM Media's strategic initiative to proclaim the Gospel and engage Muslim seekers throu
gh the Internet and new forms of media.
Launched in January 2008, Maarifa is set to change the landscape of Christian media in the Arab world, introducing new ways of engaging, evangelising and discipling people. Plans for 2009 include: the launch of our new mentored e-learning initiative for online discipleship; the introduction of a weekly video blog and chat room; the enhancement of our already well received online magazine on life issues (Hayat); a number of audio productions to address particular spiritual and emotional needs like war, hatred, forgiveness; the second interactive television series (Shabiba Xpress 2); the expansion of our SMS/ MMS ministry and a multitude of other things. One strong drive in 2009 will be the launch of an aggressive advertising campaign.
