Discovery Teams

Summer and Winter Discovery Teams have something for almost everyone. Through outreach, training and education opportunities you can experience the unique challenges and possibilities in ministry to Arab Muslims.

Our goal is to train and give you a basic understanding of the Islamic worldview. We also seek to provide an authentic experience of ministry to Arab Muslim peoples.

We have two Discovery Team seasons: winter and summer. Winter teams take place in January and Summer teams take place between May and July. The length of each of these ranges from two weeks to about a month.

Going on a Discovery Team is an excellent way to deepen your faith, learn about the culture and people of the Arab world and test the waters of a future calling to mission. You get the added bonus of making new friends, seeing some wonderful sites, tasting some fabulous food and meeting some of the most hospitable people in the world!

One past team member writes:

I returned with not only a renewed passion for the Arab people but with a renewed understanding of my international Christian heritage. Visiting places where Christianity had once thrived but is now recognised by only a minority was a sobering realisation. Yet worshipping and spending time alongside believers of different backgrounds, cultures, and languages emphasised God’s global heart and the necessity for each of us to discover more about His world. A Discovery Team is the ideal means of experiencing a taster of such.
